Articulon Named as AOR of Ridgewood Turkey Trot
RALEIGH, N.C. (November 23, 2010) — Branding and public relations firm Articulon, (www.articulon.com) announces today that it has been named the agency of record for the Ridgewood Turkey Trot (www.ridgewoodturkeytrot.com). This is the fourth consecutive year the firm has represented the Triangle Thanksgiving Day tradition.
Articulon will continue to build brand awareness of the event, concentrating on media relations. Since 2007, event participation has increased by more than 450 percent. Last year, more than 2,700 participants from 56 North Carolina towns and cities, 37 U.S. States, and 5 foreign countries helped raise $22,000 to fight Multiple Sclerosis.
“The Ridgewood Turkey trot has become the ‘must attend’ Thanksgiving Day event in the Triangle,” says Cindy Stranad, Articulon principal. “We are proud to continue to help make the event such a success and look forward to another year filled with fun.”
MS Events, a Triangle nonprofit dedicated to raising funds and awareness of local causes, is hosting the event for a fourth consecutive year. The Turkey Trot will feature a competitive and noncompetitive 8k run, a one-mile fun run, a kids’ dash and family friendly activities. Held at the Ridgewood Shopping Center at Wade Avenue and Ridge Road in Raleigh, this year's event is expected to have 3,000 participants.
